The White Coast or Costa Blanca is one of the most popular and heavily visited areas in Europe. The reason hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world flock here every year is because it’s the perfect place to enjoy a secluded midsummer vacation, but you also have the choice of heading inland in order to enjoy traditional towns and villages. There are also many beaches here, but if you’re the type who generally focuses on the nightlife, Costa Blanca won’t disappoint. There are hundreds of clubs, bars and pubs you can go to here and listen to live local music, dance to the sensual rhythms of flamenco guitar and have an utterly great time.
As many people call it, clubbing in Benidorm is where it’s at. What many people who come here do though is that they immediately start comparing the club scene with that of Ibiza’s, but when you put the two side by side, you realize that Benidorm is a lot less pretentious and a lot cheaper as well. Every summer the dozens of clubs in Benidorm throw massive parties where popular DJs all over the world come in order to play and mix some of the hottest music around.
The majority of popular clubs in Benidorm are located along the Avenida Communitat Valencia. If you find yourself out of the center of the city and want to get to a club fast, then you can easily take a taxi which is going to cost you less than 10 EUR and take five minutes to reach your destination. Keep in mind that most clubs do have an entry fee which is an average of thirty EUR, but it does include a free drink.
Also, it’s worth mentioning that the competition between the popular nightclubs here is very fierce, so don’t miss out on the freebies and vouchers from the promoters you’re certainly going to bump into on the city streets. Some clubs you should certainly check out include Hippodrome, El Divino, Penelopes, and KM Dance Club.
Bars and Pubs in Benidorm
There’s a massive choice of pubs and bars in Benidorm and quite a few good ones can be found in the narrow streets of the Old Town of Benidorm. This area is actually the best gay nightlife option, with The Rich Bitch show being very famous and one that you should not miss.
The majority of bars in Benidorm can be found in the Levante and Rincon areas of the city and since there are so many of them, you’re going to find it almost impossible to visit all of them even if you do plan to stay here for longer. Some great recommendations for bars and pubs include The Talk of the Coast, Valentines, Stardust, Jokers, but also Lennon’s, Star and Garter, and finally the KM Playa.
If you find yourself in Alicante and would like to dance the night away in one of the best clubs in the area, then you should certainly check out the Metro Dance Club. This is one of the best nightspots in the area and it’s very well known for playing very good techno music. There are also 2 sessions of dance classes that take place here every weekend, if you’re interested. As for the music, it’s played by local DJs, but it’s not uncommon for international DJs to also come here to play.
If you compare the nightlife of Moraira with some of the flashier and larger Spanish resorts, you’re going to realize it’s a bit sedated, but after dark, the town does start to buzz happily. There are many great restaurants here that offer live entertainment, including karaoke and flamenco dancing. If you love open-air dance venues, then you’re also going to be happy to know that there are a few of them you can go to and dance.
Just outside town though, is the Costa Sur club which is a great choice for youngsters and offers a wide range of entertaining evenings with striptease, parties and everything in between. But if that’s not enough for you or you’re looking for something different, then the music pumping Algas Beach bar and the Saxo Disco are some great places you should not miss.
Last but not least, if you’re lucky to visit Costa Blanca in November, July, June or April, you’re going to catch lively fiestas full of local tradition and color, making the time you spend here very exciting to say the least.
